This Privacy Policy explains how Rivu Technologies ("Rivu," "we," "us," or "our") processes personal information when you use the Rivu mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Depending on how you use the Service, we collect:
The Service does not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), display targeted advertising, or sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use personal information to:
Rivu is a social service, so some of what you create is visible to other people. Your username, profile photo, reviews, ratings, and the accounts you follow and that follow you are visible to other Rivu users according to your profile visibility setting, which you can change at any time in the app.
Treat anything you post as public unless your settings say otherwise. Once someone else has seen or copied it, we cannot retrieve it for you.
Apart from what you make public, we disclose personal information as needed for the following purposes:
We do not disclose personal information to advertising partners for targeted advertising.
We keep personal information only as long as it serves the purposes described above, and we delete it when it no longer does.

Aggregated or anonymous information derived from your activity, which does not identify you, may be kept after deletion and continues to inform things like community scores. Copies of deleted information may remain in routine backups until those backups are replaced on our normal backup cycle. We may also keep information longer where the law requires it, or where we need it to resolve a dispute, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements.
Rivu is offered in the United States. These rights are available to everyone with a registered Rivu account.
Guest accounts. Guest accounts are anonymous, so we have no verified way to confirm that a request comes from the person who created one. If you use Rivu as a guest, you can delete your guest data from within the app at any time, and we delete it automatically after 30 days without activity. Create an account if you want the rights above.
To protect your account, we may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. If you contact us from the email address on your account, that is usually enough.
We display entertainment metadata and images from The Movie Database (TMDB), including streaming-availability information that TMDB sources from JustWatch. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability is powered by JustWatch and may vary by region.
When you follow a link to a third-party service, that service's privacy policy governs its collection and use of information. We do not control third-party services or guarantee the accuracy of third-party information.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Rivu is offered in the United States, and information is processed in the United States by us and our service providers.
The Service is not intended for anyone under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@rivunow.com and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated policy and change its effective date, and will provide additional notice when required by law.
